One of the best things about being self-employed is being able to pound through the weekend and just give work the finger on a random Tuesday. No lines at the museums, cheaper travel, and the schadenfreude of knowing everyone else is sitting at a desk at the moment… really makes the break just that much sweeter.
Garrett and I went for a quick trip to San Francisco this week and packed in as much of my SF To Do List as possible. Obvious stops like Berkeley Bowl and Sliver Pizza and WIRED, and some sort of unpredicted ones like sleeping on a boat and a mimosa breakfast that stretched late into the afternoon. Ahhh, the good life.
The real highlight was seeing the “teamlab” art exhibit in Menlo Park — 20 breathtaking LED sculptures and light studies. The photos don’t even begin to do justice to the feeling of motion and immensity the pieces wrapped us in. I want to go back and just feel the universe of light swell and ebb and flow around me.
Back soon, SF. Stay weird.
